Dexter’s Laboratory Robot Rumble [XBOX/PS2/GC – Cancelled]

logo-dexterlabgame

Dexter’s Laboratory is an American animated series created by Genndy Tartakovsky about a boy genius named Dexter, who has a secret laboratory hidden behind a bookshelf in his bedroom. Various games were released to tie in with the series, all developed and produced by the now defunct publisher BAM! Entertainment. [Info from Wikipedia]

This Dexter project, know as “Robot Rumble” or “Extreme Robot Rumble” was going to be a brawl fighting game in which various home-made robots fought in small arenas, but it was never released. The game vanished when Bam Entertainment closed down. It seems that Robot Rumble was going to be developed with the help of N-Space. Only a few screenshots and concept arts remain from the project.

Jet Set Radio [Wii – Cancelled Concept]

jsrwiilogo

In 2006 Kuju Entertainment with the help of concept artist  Corey S. Lewis created a pitch for a new Jet Set Radio game that would have been developed for the Wii, and tried to propose the project to SEGA. Unfortunately it seems that SEGA was not interested in Kuju’s concept and so the game was never made. Only few concept arts remain from the JSR Wii pitch and probably not much more was done by the team.

Wario Land 4 [GBA – Debug & Unused Stuff]

In the Wario Land 4 code a beta logo was found by Racoon Sam and Linkin800 from the JUL Forum found some more unused tiles and a beta test level! As Linkin wrote in his topic, the test level is “surprisingly similar to the Metriod Fusion one, but thats because MF was built off of WL4’s engine”. You can read the original topic in here! There are even some debug rooms hidden in the game’s code.

Winter [Wii – Cancelled?]

Sometime ago IGN wrote an interesting article on a cancelled game from N-Space, a survival horror named “Winter”, that was in development for the Wii in 2007. Sadly it seems that the project was stopped because of “the restrictions imposed upon the Wii market by third-party publishers simply unwilling to take a gamble on a more traditional project”. You can read more about it in here. It’s possible that after all this good promotion, the game could attract some new publishers, so that N-Space would be able to finish the works  on Winter and release it sometime in the future. Maybe.

Thanks to Robert Seddon for the contribution!
