Sato City is a cancelled action game that was in development for the original PSX and PC, it would have been published by Merit Studios. The game was set in a post-apocalyptic world, generated with pre-rendered backgrounds (ala Resident Evil). Sadly we dont have any more info about this project, but Merit Studios never published any game for the Playstation. Could Sato City have been released on the PC with a different name?

Killzone is a FPS developed by Guerrilla Games (known as Lost Boys before) and released in 2004 for the PlayStation 2. It seems that the project was originally planned to be a Playstation 1 shooter titled “Kin”, but after Sony saw their tech demo in 1999, they asked to Guerrilla to switch it to the new console. Below you can see the original Kin / Killzone pitch video, that Lost Boys created 5 years before the final release. This footage was shown at the GDC Europe in August 2010 during a keynote by Hermen Hulst, Managing Director of Guerilla Games. As you can notice, the game and the characters looked a lot different, but we are not sure if the video was still related to the PSX project or it was already changed into a PS2 title.

Ape Escape is an action game developed by Sony Japan Studio for the original PlayStation in 1999. Thanks to Devonjames10, we are able to take a look at a Pizza Hut Demo, that has some beta differences as noted in the video. If someone could find some other beta screens or videos, please let us know!
Wipeout is the first in a series of futuristic racing games developed and published by Psygnosis in 1995 for Sony PlayStation and PC, in 1996 for the Sega Saturn. Wipeout was designed in part by The Designers Republic, while the game’s vehicle designs were based on Matrix Marauders, a 3D grid-based strategy game whose concept was developed by Psygnosis employee Jim Bowers. Nick Burcombe, the game’s future designer, was inspired to create a racing game using the same types of vehicles from his experience with Powerdrome, F-Zero and Super Mario Kart. As for the “Inspiration” the original game was very much “Mario Kart” to techno music. Nick Burcombe and Jim Bowers had designed the game from those beginnings; and an early concept video was made.

Crash Bash is a party game developed by Eurocom and published by Sony for the PlayStation in 2000. Mucus linked us to a couple of videos from a beta version of the game, in which we can see a different Keg Kaboom level, from the Winter Jampack 2000 PSone demo disc. Also, the first trailer for Crash Bash has some beta elements in it!
